Compensation
MYR 1,000–1,800 / month
Paid throughout the internship. Reviewed for raise on conversion to full-time.
About the role
Small engineering team in Malaysia. We build custom CRMs, process automation, and system integrations for local businesses. Interns here own features, sit in on client calls, and see their code go live within weeks. No coffee runs, no throwaway code.
What you'll do
- Work on frontend and backend for custom solutions and SaaS products
- Ship features with guidance from senior engineers
- Write maintainable code and review pull requests
- Sit in on workflow reviews before writing code
What we're looking for
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Must know TypeScript
- Familiar with React and relational databases
- Proficient in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
- Willing to learn and take direction. We do not expect you to work fully unsupervised
- Uses AI daily for pair programming, debugging, and code review (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, etc.). This is the 2026 baseline. We want you shipping faster with AI, not pasting output you do not understand
- Available for at least 3 months, minimum 3 days/week
