Stop calling it an AI project until someone owns the answer

AI can draft, classify, and suggest. It cannot carry accountability for a customer promise or a business decision.

An AI feature is easy to demo when it produces a plausible response. Production is different. The important question is not whether the answer sounds good. It is who is responsible when it is wrong.

Design the boundary first

The safest early AI jobs are narrow and reversible: summarize a conversation, pull fields from a document, suggest a reply, group obvious requests. They give the team leverage while keeping the final responsibility with someone who understands the context.

Before the next AI feature ships, name that person out loud.
