Product Designer
Own the design of every screen we ship: the system an admin sits in all day, the dashboard an owner checks between meetings, the page that made them call us in the first place. Every one of them is doing a job, and none of them is the small one.
About the role
We build custom systems and SaaS for Malaysian businesses. The people who use what we ship are not designers, developers, or early adopters. They are an admin executive with 40 browser tabs open, a sales coordinator on a shared laptop, an owner checking numbers on his phone between meetings. If the screen is harder than WhatsApp and Excel, they go back to WhatsApp and Excel, and the project failed no matter how good it looked. That constraint is the job. You would be the first designer here, working directly with the founder, with no design committee to get through and no brand guidelines to inherit.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end flows for custom CRMs, internal tools, our own SaaS, and the pages that sell them
- Sit in on discovery calls and watch how the work actually gets done today, before drawing anything
- Turn a messy real-world process into screens a non-technical person can finish without training
- Build and hold the design system: components, states, empty states, error states
- Hand off in a way engineers can build straight from, and stay in the loop until it ships
What we're looking for
- A portfolio with software people use for work in it, not only concept pieces. We want to see a flow you simplified and why
- Fluent in Figma, including components, variants, and auto layout that survives a handoff
- You design the unglamorous states. Empty, loading, error, permission denied, 300 rows
- Comfortable talking to non-technical users directly and reading what they do rather than what they say
- Enough front-end literacy to know what is cheap to build and what is expensive
- Uses AI daily as part of the craft, for exploration, copy drafts, and asset work. It speeds up the boring half, it does not make the decisions

- Shipped a design system that outlived your involvement
- Can build a working prototype in code
- Worked with Malaysian or Southeast Asian SMEs before
- Reads and writes Mandarin, a lot of our users do
